Put me in a coma

Put me in a coma

relieve me of this sense

Kill me with the karma

you use in your defense

In this life I’ve been lucky

as quiet as a mouse

The 9 I’ve since departed

like kitten’s claw a blouse

This pine scented aroma

of Hitchcock and suspense

Pawing at the dharma

crows circle in pretense

For once I thought the nut house

a home to mice and men

This state of being’s smartened

this boy’s escaped the pen.

Norwegian wood aglow

Actually I am, as

Real as they come

I see us in Alaska

Enchanted we are one, so

Love me lovely star seed

My hand is yours to hold

Among the valleys

Northern lights

Norwegian wood aglow

the naked and clothed

If you can manipulate life into a form

that suits your needs then wear it.

Or walk naked if you have to.

Either way,

Winter is cold. Summer is warm.

Spring is boundless. And the Fall is inevitable.

In this life

the naked and clothed

are one and the same

some just get lucky

while others wear the blame.

lucky 13

lucky 13

31 but I see

the perfect representation

of what it means to free

that little boy caged

like a curse

relieved

in the back of a hearse

lucky 13, reversed

over time, it’s easy to see

at 31 years old

that boy was me

love and pain

One day you will wake up

to find yourself very successful

or very much alone.

If you are lucky enough

you might even wake to both.

Whom ever is next to you on that day

try your best not to create

a fiction to deny your current state,

and choose wisely your diction

each time you fall back to sleep.

Do not make this common mistake,

going to sleep as means to dream.

Rather wake up knowing love and pain

can not survive without the other.
